Asian Story Theater

Asian Story Theater (AST) is a non-profit theater company in San Diego that produces and presents stories, plays, and performances that showcase the diverse experiences, cultures, and perspectives of the Asian Pacific Islander American (APIA) community. The theater aims to educate, entertain, and empower the community through their works.

With a mission of bringing people together to discover, create and celebrate both the visual and performing arts, the California Center for the Arts, Escondido is the cultural center of North San Diego County.

The Center’s activities are dedicated to furthering arts entertainment and arts education in the community, by sustaining and expanding programs that provide cultural enrichment for residents of North County and beyond.

Community Actors Theatre

Community Actor’s Theater is a non-profit all-volunteer theatrical troupe dedicated to providing drama and a creative outlet to the Oak Park region. CAT gives a voice to local playwrights and actors and is an example of a grassroots effort to create a special place for members of the community to express themselves. They aim to educate and offer theatrical training through drama/theater workshops that are open to all ages. These efforts are then put into practice in the form of community talent showcasing.

Coronado Playhouse's mission is to produce theatrical works that entertain, engage, and enlighten the mind and spirit by fostering an appreciation of the performing arts in our community. Cultural Noire Performing Arts Company

Founded in 2010, Cultural Noire Performing Arts Company is a theatrical company whose purpose is to produce and preserve the richness of the African Diaspora through its presented artistic works and programs.  From its ongoing partnership with Project1VOICE/New York City to being a 2016-17 Global Presenting Partner of the National Museum of African American History and Culture’s (NMAAHC) “Lift Every Voice” Global Grand Opening Celebration, the theatre company is an artistic cultural institution that sustains historical legacy in a contemporary world.

Cygnet Theatre

Since taking flight, Cygnet Theatre has grown into one of San Diego’s largest theatre companies and become known for producing adventurous, entertaining, and thought-provoking live professional theatre year-round.

Diversionary Theatre

Founded in 1986, Diversionary Theatre is recognized as one of San Diego’s best theatres, and proudly showcases the most vibrant and diverse group of talent the city has to offer. Lamb’s Players Theatre

Lamb's Players Theatre is one of San Diego's leading not-for-profit, professional performing arts organizations, presenting an exciting variety of work year-round in their resident theatre in Coronado. They also have an Educational Outreach program touring schools across the county. They are an artist-led company and employ a multi-talented team of actors, directors, designers, and craftspeople annually. Lamb's Players Theatre is a small theatre “that punches above its weight.”

Lamplighters Community Theatre

Serving the La Mesa and surrounding communities, Lamplighters Community Theatre produces six-season productions a year. They also support special events and one-act shows between the regular season productions. Their goal is to provide a quality theater experience for our community, to provide a training facility for artistic, technical &  administrative aspects of theater, and to have fun while we do it.

MOXIE Theatre is a professional non-profit theatre founded in 2004. Their mission is to create more diverse and honest images of women+ for our culture using the intimate art of theatre. OnStage Playhouse

Proud to be the only "live” full-time, theatrical stage in the South Bay community, OnStage Playhouse operates year-round, producing 6 regular shows, numerous short-run productions, and FREE arts education events. The theatre is recognized as a significant cultural arts contributor to the community, and consistently impresses its audiences, critics, and judges with continuing high-quality productions. Throughout its history, OnStage has received more than its share of County-wide technical, acting, direction, and production awards. OnStage Playhouse has been performing in Chula Vista, California since 1983, opening the doors to thier current location in 1999.

Formed in 1990, the Poway Center for the Performing Arts Foundation has gone by many names: Arts Alive! The PCPA Foundation. The POW! Foundation. In 2015, they proudly rebranded as Poway OnStage. Poway OnStage assembles a line-up of marquee talent from the worlds of drama, dance, music, comedy and more.

Trinity Theatre Company

Trinity Theatre Company (TTC) renders productions of great societal value in hopes of unifying friends, family, and community. TTC believes all individuals wishing to participate in the performing arts should have a venue in which they inspire and are inspired.
